Finnish International School-Georgia announces a scholarship program

01 May 2019

Inclusion and diversity are two key principles of the Finnish education system. In line with these principles, we are launching a scholarship program bringing together different parties to support the education of children from disadvantaged families. Scholarships will cover from 25 to 100% of the total amount of annual tuition for the entire duration of a child’s studies at FIS, subject to an annual review. The size of individual scholarships will be decided by the FIS Financial Aid Committee.

Eligibility Requirements:

Students should be Georgian citizens who have reached the age of 6 on or before September 16, 2019 (for the first graders) and submitted a complete application for admission to the FIS.

Selection Criteria:
1. Socio-economic status of the household.
2. Motivation to study at the FIS.

Kids from the families with many children will have priority.

Selection Process:
The selection process consists of two steps:

FIS Financial Aid Committee will review the application essays and shortlist candidates who meet FIS selection criteria.

Shortlisted candidates will be requested to submit additional documentation. The list of documents to be submitted in support of one’s application will be individually communicated to shortlisted applicants.
