Finnish International School at International Conference “Democracy at Schools”

On October 17th and 18th National Center for Teacher Professional Development and European Wergeland Center (Norway) in cooperation with The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, hosted an international conference in Tbilisi.

The objective of the conference “Democracy at School” was to share international experience and encourage implementation of future mutual projects.

The participant schools organized the exhibition of successful projects, presented how they are implementing “Framework for Democratic Culture Competences” of European Council and how they are developing European Culture.

The representatives of Finnish International School Georgia attended the conference. Jarkko Niiranen, the Principal of Finnish International School Georgia and Thea Paichadze, Administrative Manager of the school, met with the local and foreign education experts, teachers and the representatives of other schools. During those meetings they shared the insights of Finnish Educational System, emphasized the worldwide achievements of Finnish Learning Model and discussed the opportunities of developing mutual projects.
